Tomoko Sempo Yanagi holds professor status with the Ikenobo School of Ikebana and has practiced Ikebana since childhood.
After moving to the UK in 1998, she exhibited her Ikebana works and conducted workshops at a wide range of venues and events, including Hammersmith and Fulham Flower Show, Ealing Central Library, YWCA Central Club, Japan House, and for Friends of Bahamas.
She is an acknowledged Ikebana and cultural advocate recognized by the Embassies of Japan not only in the UK and Ireland but also in European countries such as the Czech Republic and Lithuania.
She has been educated and lived in Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
